Theresa Howland

VP of Sponsorship, Marketing & Employee Services , Calgary Stampede

As the Vice-President of sponsorship, marketing and employee services at the Calgary Stampede, Theresa’s role is centred around relationship building, telling the Stampede story and connecting with the community. Since joining the Calgary Stampede in 2013, she has led the daily operations and strategic direction of the marketing, communications, tourism, ticket sales, sponsorship and lotteries teams. As an experienced marketing and business executive and community-minded individual, Theresa understands the importance of building a reputable brand.
Prior to joining the Stampede, Theresa was recognized as an industry leader for her work in advancing Canada’s renewable energy industry during her time at ENMAX, Bullfrog Power and TransAlta, where she held senior positions.
Theresa was also named one of Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 under 40 in 2008 and is the former chair of the Canadian Wind Energy Association, chair of REAP Calgary, a board member of Roundtable 100 year vision for Calgary and a current member of the CLIP Advisory Council. Theresa holds a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
