VICE launched in 1994 as a ‘punk zine’, and in just 20 years is now considered by many to be THE media company of the future.

With bureaus in over 30 countries, VICE operates Vice.com, the world’s premier original online video destination, a television production studio, a magazine, a record label, an international network of digital channels, an in-house creative services agency, a consumer insights and research services department, and a book-publishing division.

VICE boasts over 60 established shows that cover everything from current events to sex to investigative reporting to music to kittens. Founded by Gavin McInnes, Suroosh Alvi and Shane Smith in Montreal, Vice quickly grew a reputation for provocative and politically incorrect content that appealed to first appealed to Millennials. Now, everyone seems to want to be a part of VICE’s success. A few years ago Rupert Murdoch invested heavily in Vice, and last year The Hearst Corporation, The Walt Disney Company and Rogers Media all partnered with VICE to benefit from their content. Clearly ‘old school’ media companies have taken notice how well VICE is engaging audiences and fostering a loyal following.
